
Southside Elementary update: The school will remain closed until Nov. 10. It will resume Wednesday Nov. 11 in Plan A. We are sorry for any inconvenience as we strive to maintain a safe environment for our students and staff.

A special JOM meeting is called for Friday at 3:00 and adheres to the JOM By-Laws. Phone calls were made to IEC members two days in advance informing them of the meeting and topics.
It will be a Zoom meeting to ensure social distancing. Below is the login information. Please be on time as we are limited to a 40 minute Zoom meeting. If everyone logs in at 3:00 and we adhere to the agenda, it is ample time to complete the meeting. As stated in the By-Laws, "no other items may be added or discussed during the Special meeting." It is unnecessary to conduct marathon meetings.

*Extended Closure for Southside Elementary*
Southside Elementary school will resume Wednesday, November 11th.
Due to continuing staff and student concerns regarding COVID-19, the WPSD, in cooperation with the Roosevelt County Health Department, has determined an extended date of closure is necessary. We are extending our dates of closure through Tuesday, November 10th. Parent/Teacher conferences will be rescheduled by your child's teacher and will be conducted virtually. Your child's teacher should be contacting you soon with rescheduled dates.
The WPSD will be mailing home more information regarding these changes.


Local Health Officials approved the Wolf point school district to reopen 4 days a week (Plan A) starting Nov. 2 If students in grade K-8 opted out and want to come back to the 4-day week (Plan A), they must register with the secretary this week. Grades 9-12 will take opt-out students again at semester January 18th.

JOM Meeting Monday Oct. 5th at 5:00pm at the district office. Join us on the Facebook Live on the Southside Page or come in person for some snacks and drinks! Electing new officers and finalizing budget for SY 20-21.

Packets will be available 12:00 to 1:00 on Mondays at the west door/ breakfast door.
Return completed packets and pick up new packets at the same time each week.
Lunch is served at 12:45 to 1:45 curbside at the High.
Students that return completed packets will be eligible to win a prize. Each grade level will be awarded 2 prizes per week.

Southside Elementary School Academic Instruction in Hybrid PLan B starts Sept. 14th.
Pre-k and Kindergarted will remain Full Time Monday-Thursday starting the 14th.

UPDATE: All extracurricular activities and sports games/practices will be canceled the remainder of the week. Monday the 7th, coaches will contact students for updates.

NO SCHOOL TOMORROW 9/2-9/10. Sports games are the same and practice times may be subject to change. See the "News section" for the Letter to the community 9/1/20.

The Wolf Point School District would like to invite anyone interested in substitute teaching for the School Year 2020-20201 to be trained Thursday, Aug. 27th at the District Office 400 Fallon street from 10-11:30 a.m. Substitutes make $100.00/day! Come help make this a great school year.
